Shaun & Nikki

Shaun & Nikki have established a Evolution Dance one of dedicated Zouk school in ...

Shaun is a strong driver of the Brazilian dance culture in Adelaide and is drawn to the high energy, exciting and vibrant Brazilian music and dance styles, which has introduced him to Zouk Lambada, Samba No Pe and Samba De Gafieira. Shaun also enjoys playing Brazilian samba percussion and performs regularly at Brazilian events and festivities in and around Adelaide.
His passion for growing and sharing Brazilian dance and culture led Shaun to coordinating Zouk Nights, Adelaide’s longest running zouk social dance event. Through offering Zouk Lambada classes, Shaun has been able to share his love of Brazilian dance with the wider Adelaide community, which has led to him choreographing team performances for both the national and international stage.
Based on the success of his team choreographies and performances, Shaun was invited to perform multiple couples routines at Brazil Central (Australia’s largest Zouk Lambada congress) and the Sydney Latin Festival (Australia’s largest Latin dance festival), as well teaching and instructing nationally.

Nikki has trained in classical ballet, jazz, hip-hop, salsa, contemporary, musical theatre for over 20 years, attending Joanna Priest O.B.E Dance Studios, Cheryl Bradley Dance Studios and did 2 years full time, Diploma in Dance – Dance World 301, Vic. Credits include shows overseas in Singapore & China, as well as local work for corporate gigs & video clips.
Nikki joined the Latin scene in 2007, and in 2009 Nikki was introduced to Brazilian Zouk Lambada. Her dancing skills, experience and passion for Latin & Brazilian dance soon saw her become a Principal Instructor, Performer & Choreographer in Salsa & Zouk Lambada styles.

Zouk has emerged as her new passion, working with Shaun to grow the Zouk Lambada scene in the wider Adelaide Latin scene. Nikki has also expanded her passion for Brazilian dance by learning and performing Samba in local & national shows.
