Leo & Mathilde Intensive Course (incl Pre-Party entry)

3 Hours of Intensive Training with the marvelous Mathilde & Leo 😍 as part of  their 'Video Challenge' concept class.

Join this superstar couple as they train our Leaders and Followers on technique, styling, and expression - focusing both on Solo skills as well as exploring how to use these elements together in Partnership. 

To cap it off, Mathilde & Leo will combine what you've learnt into a sequence and then produce a short video as a great memento for you to look back on. ⭐

Here is a brief description of what this Intensive session is all about.

INTRO:

It's undeniable that Mathilde & Leo bring that certain quality of magic to their Zouk, infusing it with beautiful expression and movements, and playing with what the music offers 💖 Born out of technique and longstanding dance experience & their ability to express their 'feeling for the music', they are looking forward to sharing their knowledge with you all to give you an insight into how they approach their dance. 

So, the aim with this Intensive it helping our dancers take their dancing to the next level, while learning in a fun way about polishing up your footwork, body movements and styling. ✨💃🕺

For our Intermediate & more experienced Dancers, we know you’ll love the opportunity to spend some dedicated time with these amazing artists to focus on your dance technique (which underlies all the rest), as well as to be able to explore the fun of drawing out the feeling or style of a song to express this in your dance.

The exploration will take place in two parts - 

1. Leaders and Followers will be split into 2 groups for mentoring and training by Leo and Mathilde on their Solo technique, footwork and movements, as well as fun styling to spice up your dance. ✨

2. Following Solo training, the 2 groups will merge together to learn a sequence incorporating their learnings, and to explore how to relate and bring these concepts into your dance with a partner.

This session, is about holding your own, and also about teamwork!

So... while you will have the luxury of dedicated time to focus on your own dance, and awareness of techniques, the session is also about looking to our dance partner and encouraging them and each other as dancers as well.  💓

TIMING :

Thursday 10th November.  This particular session will be aimed at the Intermediate and above level of experience Zouk dancer, to give the opportunity to learn directly, and in a smaller and more focused environment, from these awesome artists.

Concepts of 'Technique, Styling & Expression'

Utilising: Learning a short sequence to explore techniques and master your Solo work, before partnering to apply the concepts and see how they relate with a Partner.

Bonus: A Video of your experience will be the perfect memento to take away (as well as your new skills, of course! 😉  ) 🤩

PLUS Pre-Party Pass for Thursday night party is INCLUDED for our Intensive workshop attendees. 🙂

** PRE-REQUISITE:

Due to limited spaces being allocated for this workshop, we are opening this Intermediate Intensive to our dancers who are competent in their Foundations and in Leading or Following the following as a minimum -  

- Boomerang/Bonus from left & right sides , Viradinha, Grapevine, Yoyo/LoLo, Rau/Elastico/Ragdoll, Simple turn in all directions, Soltinho, 180 and Lunges/Abertura, etc

This is to keep the material flowing at a level suitable to all attending, and for fairness to your fellow classmates. 🙂🤗
